I'm Lukas, 28 years young ('97), originally from Mecklenburg. Mostly into tech and gaming, with anime and manga on the side and a solid amount of metal and rock.
Every now and then the wannabe photographer in me comes out. The pictures aren't anything special — at the end of the day I'm just an inexperienced guy with a smartphone.
How did I get into photography? Honestly, no idea.
I had a lot of free time and a lot of boredom. Sitting inside gaming all day can be surprisingly depressing, believe it or not.
So one day I grabbed my Samsung Galaxy S20 and went outside. Out into the wide world. Or about five meters from the front door — depending on the day.
The photos get a bit of editing in Lightroom afterwards. Do I know what I'm doing in that program? No. Did that stop me? No.
Music plays a big role in my life — the lyrics especially.
Mostly it pulls me toward metal and rock, and plenty of their subgenres.
Some of my favorite bands come out of the Japanese scene though, specifically the Touhou circle.
For a long time, Musixmatch was a big part of that too. I spent almost seven years there as a Specialist and came out of it with close friends as well as some great bands I'd never have found otherwise.
And every now and then, I make it out to a show.

Technology has been with me my entire life.
I'll never forget the moment I bought my first graphics card — an Nvidia GTX 650 Ti — from a shop, upgrading my back-then fairly "high-end" Medion PC with an i7-2600 from its stock GT graphics.
I'm big into new technology and like being one of the first to get my hands on it.
One of my stranger purchases back then was the Oculus Rift Development Kit 2. I fell in love with VR games instantly, and to this day Half-Life: Alyx is still one of my absolute favorite games — VR or not.
Other than that, I mostly play League of Legends, Counter-Strike 2, and a handful of survival games like Valheim, Ark: Survival Ascended, Minecraft, or Stardew Valley. As long as it's multiplayer.
There was also a long stretch where I played a lot of osu! — enough that I ended up buying a graphics tablet just for it.
